Safety Visit to Da Chan Bay Terminal One at Shenzhen (09:30-12:00) Objective: To appreciate the safety management system of a container terminal (HK enterprise, Modern Terminals Ltd., owns major share) in Mainland China. Risk Management: Analysis of major and hidden risks in terminal operations, including the typical “ship hit shore”, shore-cranes’ related accidents and their preventive measures. 3. Safety Management: A brief description of terminal operation safety procedures and key contractor control mechanism. 4. Emergency Response and Dangerous Goods Management: Analysis of Yangming container ship explosion accident, explanation of operation specifications against dangerous goods containers stacked on shore. 5. Extreme Weathers Responses: Introduction to terminal typhoon emergency response plan. 6. Demonstration of a practical drill for rescuing a person from the water. (14:00-16:00) Objective: To appreciate how the e-learning platform can assist and enhance safety training and other safety management aspects. Program: 1. Company Introduction 2. Key features of the e-learning platform 3. Types of e-learning packages 4. Other applications of this platform 5. Latest IT security Fee: HK$100 for HKOSHA members and HK$200 for non-members. Fee includes administration charge and transportation from Shenzhen Bay Port to Da Chan Bay Terminal One, TZD and return (Passenger Liability Insurance provided by the tourist bus owner only).
