Safety Seminar on “6Ws Ergonomics Strategies for Occupational Health and Employee Well-being”

This seminar offers valuable insights into creating healthier environments through ergonomics strategies. Participants will explore practical applications and real-life case studies related to ergonomics, with a specific focus on OSH regulations concerning manual handling and the use of display screen equipment in Hong Kong. Additionally, the seminar will address workplace design ergonomics, providing a holistic approach to enhancing employee health and well-being. The seminar will utilize the 6Ws approach, which includes the questions: What, Why, Who, When, Where, and How, to demonstrate effective solutions in occupational ergonomics. Participants will leave with actionable insights that will enable them to improve their organization's OSH management system, ultimately fostering a culture of well-being and productivity. Speaker: Dr Justine Chim Dr Chim is the Director and Principal Consultant of Chim's Ergonomics and Safety Limited, bringing over 15 years of consultancy experience to approximately 150 local and global corporations across eight countries. She is Asia's first and only internationally Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) under the Australian certification system and a Registered Safety Officer (RSO). Passionate about workplace health and well-being, Dr. Chim has been appointed as an advisor (Ergonomics) for the International WELL Building Institute, collaborating with global experts. Her expertise has gained international recognition, leading to her appointment as a Senior Expert for the European Union on OSH and work injury operations missions in China and Jordan in the Middle East. Additionally, she was appointed as a high court expert witness for employees' compensation cases, specializing in ergonomics and OSH. With over 15 years of part-time lecturing experience in OSH, ergonomics, and management at universities in Hong Kong and Australia, Dr. Chim holds a PhD in Design from the National Taipei University of Technology where she received multiple scholarships for her research and academic achievements, a Master's in Ergonomics from The University of Queensland, and a Graduate Diploma in OHS Management from The University of Adelaide, where she was awarded the Top OHS Student Award.
