Speaker: Dr FUNG Ivan Wing Kong Dr. Ivan Fung is a part-time lecturer and was postdoctoral fellow (Artificial Intelligence) at the School of Architecture, The University of Hong Kong (2024-25), was a research fellow (Artificial Intelligence) at the Department of Building and Real Estate, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (2025), and also is an adjunct professor (Construction Safety Automation) at the School of Civil Engineering and Geomatics, Southwest Petroleum University (211), Chengdu, China PRC. Dr. Fung graduated from the City University of Hong Kong with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Construction Safety Management and was an Assistant Professor and PhD Supervisor in the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering of the same university. Dr. Fung is currently a Fellow Member of the Hong Kong Education Convergence (Executive Committee Member from 2022 and Vice-Chairman of the AI Education Working Group from 2025 and a Professional Member of the Hong Kong Primary Education Research Association (member of the Digital/ AI Education Research Group from 2025). Since 2023, he has been a regular contributor of AI science columns for media outlets such as Master-Insight.com, Sing Tao Daily, and Hong Kong Economic Journal, etc. He has also hosted more than 30 AI-related events, including the Education Bureau's Principal Training, Teachers' Professional Development Day Seminars, and in- house training for listed companies, etc. Dr. Fung is currently an Accredited Technical Expert of the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) Accreditation Service, a PhD professional of HKSTPC and Cyberport Research Pool, and the Founding Chairman and Executive Committee Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Safety and Health Practitioners (HKISHP), a Council Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Auditors (HKICA), and an Accredited Principal Auditor (APA). He is also the CEO of a Hong Kong start-up AI company, iCARE Technology (HK) Limited, and an engineering company, Gao Lee Fung Engineering Limited, and serves as a technical advisor to five technology companies.
